World as it is today

It was an invention which changed the world and today most of the population of world is using it. It gave birth to new term ‘Paperless bureaucracy’. Yes, it was email which changed the way we used to live. Now almost all of us have a habit to check for new email continuously just to know if anything had happened. Today we send mails to our dear ones like the older time (Now ages ago) when we used to send mails using public mailing service popularly known as ‘post’ but the medium is changed mail is replaced by email. It had significantly affected the consumption of papers in the offices as many of them are now adhering more and more to Paperless bureaucracy.

The thing which we loved at a time and got affected worst by email is the tradition of ‘Notice boards’. There was a day when people had a habit of referring to notice board regularly, just to make sure they are not missing any important announcements. Today if anything is needed to be announced it is said that “mail it to everyone”. It delivers the information to your doorstep personally and you no longer can blame any in the management that information was on notice board for too short of time. Now it is management who can blame you for not reading the email. I can recall the days of my college where when upon anything a message was posted to notice boards. There was a trend to have a notice board for individual departments now they have mailing groups for individual departments.

Although it is making the life comfortable but it is also separating us from each other. Today we are more connected but less known.
